Jubilee Health Centre and Broad Street Surgery group of Medical Practices are working hard at helping patients to reduce their alcohol intake to safe limits. Have you ever felt you ought to cut down on your drinking?  Do you feel annoyed if people talk about your alcohol habits?  Do you feel guilty about your drinking?  Do you have an alcohol drink in the morning as an ‘eye-opener'?  If you answer yes to two or more of the above questions, please come to see the General Practitioner (GP) or Nurse at our surgery.The doctors are here to help you.  Similarly if you drink more than 21 units a week for a man, 14 units a week for a lady, or if you just want to find out about reducing your alcohol intake, the doctors will be glad to see you.  To work out how many units of alcohol, please visit this handy guide at drinkaware, click here  Roughly, a pint of beer is 2 units.  Please make an appointment to see your GP, both for yourself or anyone in your family that you're concerned about.  We also work closely with a local community alcohol service at Swanswell, you might also find helpful to get in touch with, if so click here.
